- I am a teacher from Newcastle in England. I have supported since Betis Spanish football first began to be shown on the TV over here, back when Alfonso used to play. I have followed them ever since. This Spring, march time, I am hoping to visit Seville and Betis go to a game.
My heart is stronger than ever before for Betis Because of the relegation to the Second Division, Which happened at the same time as the relegation of my club Newcastle United.
It seems to me that our clubs are very similar in respect of the fan base we both have, and the problems that we have in living up to how big our respective clubs are.
But more so the fans, Because just like Betis, Newcastle United fans (The Toon Army) are still showing big attendance for games Despite relegation! You also have a huge rivallry just like Newcastle and 'The Scum' (Sunderland)

I am a fan of Real Betis, and in a month or so time, I will finally have the opportunity to go to a match when I visit Betis Seville
I hope to be in Seville for our game against Rayo Vallecano on March the 7th. My problem is that I can not speak Spanish, and I think I will find it very difficult to navigate my way to the ground, and even buy my ticket at the stadium. Just thought you might like to know what is going on a few miles up the road in Blyth. I am a fan of Betis (for about ten years now) and also now a fan of Blyth Spartans. As you know we are the "Green and Whites" of the North East ! Recently a few of us came up with the idea of setting up a Blyth-Betis Peña to share friendship and support between the two clubs.
